Collection: CLAYTON CAPS

Clayton Patterson and his wife Elsa Rensa, known for their wearable art hats, gained recognition before such creations became mainstream, attracting clients like Jack Nicholson and Mick Jagger. Their work, a symbol of the pre-gentrified Lower East Side, reflects the area's original character. Clayton, an artist and folk historian, has lived in the Lower East Side for four decades, becoming a local icon. Despite threats to leave due to gentrification, he chose to stay, embodying the spirit of "Manhattan's last bohemian."
