Emerging from the DIY ethos of 1980s Queens, Costello began formulating his own inks to meet the demands of street art, leading to the creation of Krink—a blend of "KR" and "ink." The brand gained prominence in the late 1990s through collaborations with NYC retailer Alife, and has since expanded globally, offering a diverse range of artist tools, apparel, and accessories.
