Hi, my name is Hung - I'm from LỰU ĐẠN.
I'm the creative director and founder.
We're a brand that's about the sheisty Asian villain, and Luu Dan was born during lockdown.
As a designer, I never really worked around my identity.
Media is not able to capture the version of Asian identity that I was when I grew up.
Asian identity is quite nuanced.
The way that I approach LỰU ĐẠN is to tell stories.
My objective as a creative director is to be able to speak to the younger generation, to have them feel like "this represents me - this is who I am.
I aspire to wear these clothes and these are my people. This is my tribe."
